Because 1,678 RSS Buttons Aren’t Enough

The Sexiest RSS Icon I’ve Designed This Morning

Sexy New RSS IconJust when you thought nothing new could be done with RSS buttons, I’ve gone ahead and proved it by making one of my own.

It’s just like all the other RSS buttons out there. Only different.

This one was lovingly crafted by myself, in the forge of Cinema 4D. It’s got reflections, glass-like finishes and an oh-so-jaunty angle to it. It oozes raw sex appeal and screams “Click Me! Click Me!” which is just what you want for an RSS icon.

Sexy New RSS Icon with Drop ShadowThere are two versions available in the zip file available below: one RSS icon with a dropshadow and one without.

Both versions are in .png format with transparent backgrounds, so they should work on any sort of background.

And they are both large, like the big one above. If you need a bigger one, uh…you’re out of luck. One solution would be to just make your website smaller instead.

Damn, Charlie, I’m jealous as hell now. I may just have to step up my game.

God, Charlie, you’re so fucking funny that I snorted wine all over. Damn but I admire your wit.

Oh… yeah, okay, nice button too. Way cool.

Back to that wit of yours…

    Harry & James -

Yeah, but here’s the thing, fellas. It was all accidental. I was going to make a tutorial on how to make this sort of thing and ended up searching for other tutorials on how to make this sort of thing. I couldn’t duplicate it if I tried.

@Harry – If you change your game at all, I’ll have to take punitive action. I don’t know where you live exactly, but I’m sure James would tell me ’cause he’d be pissed too.

@James – *blushing & shuffling feet* This isn’t helping my man crush.

Thanks, you two, for stopping by and being part of my show here. It is GREAT to see you.

@ Charlie – Stability is part of what keeps me sane. NO ONE had better change their game. And if you posted more often, you’d see us here more often, ya twit. Even without mutual man crush.

    James -

Tell me about it, dude. I’m the worst blogger ever, I swear. I don’t know how you do it man. 7 days a week like clockwork…astounds me.

*rolls eyes* I said step up my game, not change it. All I can say is; I live in Vegas and have a small arsenal in my office…and in the living room…under the bed…and the guest room.

Seriously though, excellent work. I wouldn’t mind seeing a tutorial on how to get those nice, clean glass effects.

    Charlie,

Oh for crying out loud, I click over to tell you what this will do to Harry, and Harry’s already told you.

I adore the glass effect. So elegant. (The goodies page cracked me up!)

& this is just in time, because 1,679 is the perfect number of RSS buttons.

I guess I lurk no more, having commented twice in two days. Great work!

    Regards,

    Kelly

Charlie, meet Kelly. Kelly, meet Charlie. Kelly is a ballsy woman who keeps me on my toes. Charlie is someone that grew to be a very good friend in an extremely short time. I think we almost got married, too, but it seems he has a girlfriend now and she might not like that much. Logistics and all, don’t you know.

See, Charlie? You post, I come, and the whole gang follows. It’s wonderful.

    James,

I’ve been stalking Charlie for a while, actually. (To girlfriend: I meant admiring. I’m too far away to stalk.)

An intro is worth it, though, because I’m sure behind my dark sunglasses I’ve been near invisible.

    Charlie,

James did *make* me comment yesterday, by pointing out a post I’d not read, and I finally decided to add you to my extremely exclusive list of email subs.

Just in time to catch hot RSS button!

Damn, everybody gets to marry James except me.

    Until later,

    Kelly

    Kelly -

Definitely nice to make your acquaintance. Again. I think this is about the 4th time we’ve “met” but probably the most official, thanks to James.

And thanks for adding me to your exclusive list. Honored to have made the roll.

    James -

Thanks for the match-making and excellent introduction. Knowing you has been a benefit in every way and I’m making some great friends. Thanks!

    Cheers!

    Hey Pablo -

Nope, I certainly don’t mind if you use it! It’s for public consumption so have your way with it. Send a link later for where you use it as I’d love to see it in action.

Thanks for checking with me and for stopping by! Enjoy.

Looks Great. I would like to use it on my web but would be better if i find some other buttons from facebook, twetter, etc, similar to this one. Any idea?

    @Jose -

Glad you like it, Jose. I’m making a whole set of these icons in 3D. So far I’ve got:

Facebook, Bookmark, Delicious, Digg, Email, MySpace, Twitter and WordPress.

    Any other suggestions, folks?
