A Speed Analysis of your site.
As I said above, you’ve only got a few short seconds to grab your site visitors.
And not only are your visitors impatient, so is Google nowadays. In fact, the slower your site is, the worse it’s going to do in Google’s listings. Yuck.
So what happens when visitors and Google come to your site and it just sits there churning and loading? Bad things, that’s what.
Believe me, this point cannot be overstated. Google, Shopzilla, Amazon, Mozilla and many many other big companies have put big money into testing how speed impacts conversions. And each found that even as little as 100 milliseconds affects customer happiness and income fairly significantly
Even 100 milliseconds makes a difference.
On top of that, it was determined through testing that internet users perceive page load times to be 15% slower than they actually are. And when reporting that speed to their friends will report the speed as 35% slower than it was in reality.
What’s that mean? It means if your site is just a little bit slow, your visitors think it’s dog slow. And they tell their friends it’s even worse than that!

This sounds really expensive.
It isn’t, but let’s talk about what is very expensive. Not doing this.
We recently uncovered, on a virtually brand new site, more than $1000 of revenue that was being tossed out into the wind. Here’s how it went down, and note that this is exactly the kind of thing this consultation was built for:
A client was selling a product that was converting at around .5%. That’s just half a percent. Every month, roughly 200 people visited the site and made it to the sales page. Out of those 200 people, one would buy the course.
So an average of one course was sold each much. Now, $200 bucks a month isn’t terrible, but it’s not great either…nor is a conversion of only half of one percent. And moreover, the client basically owned the niche, and was one of the first guys to sell a much-needed product. It should have been flying off his virtual shelves.
So we went though this overhaul, I made some recommendations and put the site through some changes. The results?
The sales page itself immediately started getting less traffic at around 175 visits per month. (Yeah, I said less traffic…but more on that in a second).
The sales page began to convert at 3-4% instead of .5%. So instead of 1 sale a month, the site now does 5-7. Or $1000-$1400 of revenue. This service paid for itself nearly three times over in the very first month.
Now, I mentioned the sales page started getting less traffic and how that’s a good thing. Sounds weird, but we call it…
