Publishing videos without some type of branding is like going out in a rainstorm wearing nothing but Kleenex. It doesn’t quite work.
I’ve said it here before but it bears repeating in big fancy letters:
The more often you put your unique branding in front of people, the more likely it is that you’ll attract your ideal customers.
If you produce videos for your business – certainly not a bad idea nowadays – they should have proper branded intros. That means logos, your company/site name, etc. We can do that for you, and here are some samples to prove it.
Ignite Living
Here’s the first video we produced for Ignite Living. It’s got a 3D logo rolling in all sexy, subtle lighting effects, some theme music, the works. I even played my guitar for this one. Check it out.
Now while it’s a great example of what can be done, it didn’t fully work for us. The name Ignite Living suggests something bright and lively, but that first video is a bit dark and spooky. So we remade it to be more on brand. Here’s the final result that’s much more cheery and features a touch of humor.
Shutter Muse
Shutter Muse came to us with a logo, said “Make us something awesome,” and this is what we did.
Again…it’s all about proper branding and making the message clear. In this case, being a photo-based company, we had some obvious cues to work with. We animated a camera aperture opening up, then used some blurring to bring things in and out of focus. You know, like a camera. Paired with the sound of a shutter click, it was pretty much a slam dunk.
The client was pleased with this so hired us to do an end-of-video animation as well. There aren’t a lot of folks who put branding at the end of their videos, and that’s a mistake. There’s no better place to reiterate your brand and leave a lasting impression. Here’s the outro we created.
Video Trailer for a Design Course
We made a whole series of these bad boys for different segments of a design course. But for the text they’re all identical, so I’ll just show you this one.
Check out those particle effects!
Charfish Design. Yeah…that’s us
What sort of designer would I be if I didn’t brand my own videos? One that gets laughed at a lot. I can’t have that, which is why I produced a quick intro to brand my video classes and tutorials.
I wanted it to be fun and light hearted, as that’s the type of business I run and the sort of clients I love to work with. That’s how branding really works: put your intentions out there front and center. That alone will help attract the folks who’ll resonate with you.
Here’s how it turned out.
